Exercising for size-ing

I have always admired good and healthy body. It gives a person, confidence and happiness. How & Why will be explained in my blog today.

I myself have been a candidate for exercise, I have done my bit of exercise in my childhood and keep doing it till now. In my previous years, I used to do exercise but wasn’t so regular in it but now I make it a point to follow my exercise regime with discipline.

I have been to a Gurdwara in the mountains of Uttarakhand called Sri Hemkund Sahib, for a few times. The gurdwara is situated some 15 Km from Gobind Ghat, the base gurdwara at the Badrinath Highway. The visit is possible with a trekking of some 10 km till Ghagaria (village) also the resting point for all visitors at the Gurdwara Gobind Dham. And thereafter you trek for next 5 Km to reach Gurdwara Sri Hemkund Sahib.

The entire stretch is very beautiful but to experience the beauty you have walk all the way upto the top. You have other options too like the pony ride or the basket ride or the palanquin ride. But the fun and enjoyment you can do while walking is no comparison to other modes of transport. While walking up, you will find streams of water flowing next to you, the green and colourful plants & flowers, the trees and the beautiful scenes. You cannot enjoy these things without walking.

You can take pictures, be part of the flora fauna and even rest for a while by letting your feet in the streams of ice cold water. All these is an experience and can be enjoyed only if you can walk the trek. You have to negotiate the muddy & slippery path, jump over some rocks and stretch your legs to the wide footsteps on the way. Those whoever has walked the entire path to & fro will narrate you the beauty and their experience with joy but those who didn’t walk up-down don’t have tales to narrate.

Now some might say, what is the big deal I am talking about not walking. Wouldn’t the other fellow travelers using a pony or a basket or a palanquin not enjoy the scenes? They will I am sure but they will not be part of it. They will reach the Gurdwara and come back but they will not enrich themselves with the touch of all the things on the way, they won’t be able to sit on a rock, put feet in the ice cold stream and and click the memories. The others will definitely view everything on the way but will not live them moment by moment.

Now coming to my point, I was telling you something about health, fitness and exercise, so why have I deviated my blog towards a Gurdwara? Actually, if you did not get my point then listen why am I talking about it. The trek can only be enjoyed more by a person, who will have a stronger body and mind both. The fitness of a person decides on how will he/she enjoy.

If you are fit and healthy then, you will travel all places with ease, you will be able to trek, swim, raft and enjoy many more activities in your everyday life. You will not sit back, you will attempt dancing, walking and jumping. You will be even able to make your partners happy.

And all this is possible due to fitness, and you achieve that by regular exercise. Once you follow your regime properly, you will feel the freshness and feel good factor within you. It is not only physical but also mental, your mind releases good chemicals and will make you more happy in life. You will be able to enjoy moments coming your way and won’t run away making excuses. You will life more happily then the other who doesn’t include exercise in his/her routine.

So to live a life full of health and happiness, include exercise in your daily routine and see the results yourself. Trek your life with ease and enjoy it every moment. That is all for now… till next time… Lots of LOVE to all of you… Bye…
